Welcome to NASCAR Handicapping! My name is Gerald W. Poplin, Ph.D., but my racing buddies just call me Doc Pop!

My background is in computer technology. I hold a Master’s degree in Communication Technology and a Doctorate in Information Systems Management. “What does this have to do with racing?”, you may ask. Everything, when it comes to predicting the outcome of NASCAR events.

Starting 23 years ago, I began developing an algorithm that would forecast the outcome of driver matchups in order to give me a leg up when it came to betting. It was instantly successful! But, as time went on, I kept “tweaking” the program until I knew it was the best forecaster of Cup series outcomes available! The majority of the clients that subscribe to my “Poopsheet” every week have enjoyed winning an average of 65% to 69% of their bets placed. That’s not too shabby!
